The View

With its high-resolution camera, the webcam on the roof of Veste Oberhaus offers the viewer a magnificent 180-degree panorama of Passau's Old Town. Starting at the Fürstenbau of Veste Oberhaus, the view includes the Danube, the Town Hall, the pilgrimage church of Mariahilf and St Stephen's Cathedral.

In 2021, the webcam was awarded the "feratel Panorama Award Germany".

Veste Oberhaus also has other viewing highlights to offer. The Observation Tower provides a 360-degree view over Passau and the Passau region, and the Linde Battery is the best place from which to admire the interplay of colours at the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz rivers.
